Have just bought and started using Nero 9 Lips Sealed - I cannot believe that a recording I made using a DVD-R cannot be finalised (Closed) because (and I quote "Media is unsupported")  Sad Sad Sad
What in the world have I done to deserve this?
Please someone tell me that
A - I'm an idiot
B - The simple answer is to _ _ _ to remedy the situation.
How can Nero 9 write to a disk, and then say it is un-supported??
In fairness, I am a complete new user to this program, so may well have stuffed it up in some way perhaps?
Help appreciated

Why Oh Why did I not look at the reviews before I purchased this rubbish? Embarrassed Embarrassed
I notice that so far nobody else is actually owning up to be a user. I broke the habit of a lifetime here, and purchased on impulse!
What a waste of money!!!!  Before you comtemplate buying this - take a look at reviews and users comments. I really do not know how a once revered company like Ahead could issue such junk to the public and get away with it Sad

I feel your pain. I would never pay for bloated rubbish like Nero - their software seems to get more sluggish and error-prone with each release.

I'd get it uninstalled and then try the following freebies:

CDBurnerXP (You are not allowed to view links.

) for data and audio discs, plus burning and creating ISO files.
DVDFlick (You are not allowed to view links.

) for video DVDs, which you'd use in conjunction with Windows Movie Maker for editing video, and Any Video Converter Free Edition (You are not allowed to view links.

) for converting from different video formats.

Slight lateness in getting back to the forum
Installed CDburnerXP - simple, free, straitforward, works perfectly - what more could one ask? Grin

I always try my luck and see if anyone can provide me with the moon on a stick, but otherwise, it's a good 'un, isn't it?

I made the mistake too and upgraded to Nero 9 (but only installed what I needed). Anyway, I used it to burn data to two DVD disks at once and the burn went OK, but the verify failed. Yet when I tried to access the files that failed in the verify via Explorer they seemed to be OK. So are the DVDs OK? Which brings me to a question I'll post elsewhere about verifying data - You are not allowed to view links.
